Salary: €72,407 – €83,520 per annum, depending on relevant experience

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker Team Leader to join a well-established disability service in Nenagh.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Social Worker looking to progress into a leadership position, while continuing to have a meaningful impact on the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

The successful candidate will provide professional leadership within the social work service, working closely with individuals, families, multidisciplinary colleagues and external agencies to ensure a high-quality, person-centred service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and support within the social work team.

• Provide supervision, guidance and support to social work staff.

• Support the delivery of a high-quality, person-centred social work service.

• Work collaboratively with individuals, families, multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.

• Support safeguarding and the management of safeguarding concerns and risk.

• Ensure social work practice is delivered in line with relevant legislation, policies and professional standards.

• Contribute to service development, quality improvement and change initiatives.

• Support the effective planning and organisation of the social work service.

• Promote the rights, independence, choice and social inclusion of the people supported.

• Maintain appropriate professional records and documentation.

• Contribute to the ongoing development of the service.

Requirements

• Recognised professional qualification in Social Work.

• Current CORU registration as a Social Worker.

• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience.

• Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities is highly desirable.

• Experience in supervision, leadership or providing professional support to colleagues.

• Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organisational and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Full clean driving licence and access to a car.
