An award-winning, privately-owned commercial builder is seeking an experienced Site Manager or Supervisor to deliver a high-profile fit-out project in one of Melbourne's most iconic CBD buildings. Known for their expertise in commercial fit-outs and refurbishments in the hospitality industry, this builder has a proven track record of successfully delivering projects across Victoria and New South Wales valued up to $60m.

This exciting project presents the opportunity to contribute to the transformation of a historically significant building into a modern commercial space across 5 stories. The space will consist of a nightclub, bars, 2 different restaurants and a rooftop. With 5+ years of projects already secured, this role offers long-term career potential.

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Site Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of this prestigious site, ensuring its successful delivery on time, within budget, and to an exceptional standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the coordination of trades, direct labour, and materials.
  • Act as the point of contact between Engineers, Senior Management, and Architects.
  • Proactively address on-site challenges while maintaining strict Health & Safety standards.
  • Ensure the project is delivered to the highest quality while achieving time and budget goals.
Requirements for the Role:
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager with a principal contractor working on large scale fit outs and refurbs.
  • High end hospitality fit out experience is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience managing projects valued at $10m or more.
  • Expertise in commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.
  • Construction-related tertiary qualification.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead a team and collaborate with all project stakeholders.
