Apply directontract Specialist – Engineering Consultant Section (ADOT)
This position serves as a Contract Specialist supporting the Engineering Consultant Section of ADOT. The selected candidate will be responsible for contract administration, financial review, and accounting-related functions while ensuring compliance with established contract requirements and agency policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and reconcile accounting transactions.
- Review and approve accounts payable transactions in accordance with contract requirements.
- Process and review reports and invoices.
- Assist with contract administration and compliance activities.
- Monitor budget expenditures and financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Organize and prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines.
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Experience with construction contracts.
- Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience reviewing and reconciling accounting transactions.
- Understanding of accounting practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of budgeting and expenditure tracking.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

- General computer proficiency and ability to learn agency systems
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must be available and willing to work onsite two days per week.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills are required.
