Job Overview:

The Marine Quality Technician to support our quality assurance operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The Marine Quality Technician will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials and components, reviewing supplier documentation, and ensuring products meet customer, industry, and contractual requirements.  This is an excellent opportunity for quality professionals who enjoy hands-on inspection work, problem solving, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance. Candidates with experience in manufacturing, defense, marine, or heavy industrial environments are encouraged to apply.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform receiving inspections of incoming materials, components, and assemblies from suppliers.
  • Review supplier certifications, inspection reports, test results, and other documentation to verify compliance with engineering, customer, and contractual requirements.
  • Utilize standard inspection and measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and related precision instruments.
  • Assist with advanced inspection activities utilizing metrology and measurement systems such as FARO, Romer, and Keyence equipment.
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances through inspection reports, photographs, measurements, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and inspection data within SAP or similar electronic quality management systems.
  • Organize and maintain electronic documentation, including scanning, filing, and managing inspection records and photographs.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality personnel to support business and customer requirements.
  • Follow established Quality Management System (QMS) processes, including quality procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, and nonconformance reporting processes.
  • Support internal and external calibration activities for inspection and measurement equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Operate overhead crane equipment using pendant, radio, or cab controls, as required.
  • Select and utilize proper rigging methods to safely move materials and equipment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and plant regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
 

 

Requirements: 

  • Must be able to obtain a D.O.D. security clearance within a reasonable amount of time after hired.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, inspection, or quality assurance environment.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and associated quality processes.
  • Hands-on experience using standard inspection and measurement equipment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school, trade school, or vocational training in a related discipline is preferred.
 

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

This role will be on site in Bentleyville, PA.
