DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

For our client, a leading company in its sector, we are searching for a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

Your Job:

• As a DevOps Engineer you will work with software architects, application developers and product managers. 
• You will be responsible for the cloud infrastructure based on AWS, ECS and Kubernetes and for the cloud-based architecture in terms of performance, availability, cost and security. You will work with the enterprise IT infrastructure team to ensure connectivity of services between data centers. 
• You will work closely with your DevOps engineers to design, implement and maintain cloud-based solutions for the trading platform. 
• In your area of responsibility, you will revise and implement data protection and security policies and requirements at the network, system, access management, and information levels. 
• Working with DevOps and Product Management, you will develop infrastructure strategies for scalable, efficient and economical solutions and be responsible for cost control and reporting in your area. 

Common Tasks:

• Evaluate and decide questions of cloud architecture
• Weigh pros and cons of commercial and free solutions with regards to implementation and maintenance effort, short - and long-term costs
• Consult developers in questions of platform architecture
• Support DevOps engineers with solutions solving their problems best Develop efficient (auto) scaling strategies for the solutions with regards to availability, performance and maintainability
• Develop and implement backup and recovery solutions for critical data Prepare, participate in and revise internal and external assessments and audits for PCI, GDPR and ePrivacy compliance
• Analyze and evaluate security vulnerabilities in internal and external scenarios in your domain , evaluate risks and report to management

Your Profile:

• At least 5 years of systems and/or cloud solutions architect
• Excellent knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud solutions for microservice architectures
• Excellent knowledge of AWS Organizations and Multi-Account Management
• Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes and EKS
• Excellent knowledge of Linux and bash
• Excellent knowledge in network protocols, messaging, load balancers, firewalls, VPN
• Excellent knowledge and deep understanding of technical and organizational IT security concepts
• Experience with European and German data protection and privacy regulations
• Excellent knowledge in database technology, clusters, performance, backup & recovery
• Excellent knowledge in system monitoring and monitoring tools such as Check_MK, Logstash
• Excellent Good knowledge of NGINX features and configuration
• Good knowledge of GitLab, Docker, CI/CD automation tools
• Good knowledge in visualization tools Kibana, Grafana
• Good Experience in IaaC and resource management solutions such as CloudFormation or Terraform
• Experience with automated software testing: integration, regression and stress tests
• Experience with node.js and PM2 is a plus
• Good communication skills
• Fluent English 
• German is a big plus
