Machine Operator Trainee

Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week

Nesco Resource is seeking Machine Operator -Trainee for our client in Elmira NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual who is interested in developing valuable machine operation and manufacturing skills.

You will receive hands-on training while learning to operate a variety of equipment in a clean, well-maintained, and safe manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely operate various machines within the Department
• Operate equipment including the sheeter, trimmer, and forklift
• Load and unload paperboard and other materials
• Monitor equipment and production processes
• Follow established safety and operating procedures
• Perform basic machine adjustments as trained
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work as part of a team to meet production and quality goals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Mechanical aptitude required
• Ability to learn and operate manufacturing equipment
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable attendance and willingness to learn
• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is helpful but not required
