About the Role As a Strategic Communications Officer, you will play a key role in supporting communication strategies, stakeholder engagement activities and the development of high-quality written products that inform decision-making and public messaging.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing communication materials, briefs, reports and correspondence.
- Supporting strategic engagement activities across government, industry and community stakeholders.
- Contributing to ministerial submissions, briefing packs and executive communications.
- Conducting research and analysis to support policy and communication outcomes.
- Assisting with stakeholder engagement and consultation activities.
- Supporting senior leaders in the preparation for domestic and international engagements.
- Monitoring emerging issues and providing strategic communication advice.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience developing briefs, reports, communications or policy documents.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management abilities.
- Sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting strategic projects, communications or policy initiatives within government or related environments will be highly regarded.
Eligibility Applicants must:
- Be Australian Citizens.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance.
