Locum Hospital Physiotherapist OR Exercise Physiologist required for this coastal service. The role is full time, 76 hours per fortnight. This is a Grade 2 level role, also open to experienced Grade 1 clinicians ready to take the next step. You will cover a caseload, as well as providing supervision and support to junior clinicians. 31st August – 6th November.
The division of Primary Care Services offer a range of community-based prevention, early intervention, post-acute treatment, health rehabilitation and recovery and continuing services designed to improve or maintain the health of individuals and communities. The Allied Health department comprises of 11 different specialty services providing services to clients in the Shire.
This position is a generalist physiotherapy or exercise physiology caseload that involves treating a diverse range of conditions across various patient demographics. Working with a multidisciplinary allied Health team, clinicians applying for this position must have sounds understanding across the following areas:
- Inpatient general medical & orthopaedic caseload
- Community outpatient clinics
- Rehab groups, Ortho and Falls & Balance
- Residential aged care, initial assessment and review
- Working with and delegating task to Allied Health Assistants
This role requires adaptability and broad expertise to deliver personalise care in different clinical settings. This role may require the clinician to work in a sole practitioner on occasion.
- Monday-Friday, full time
- Up to 76 hours per fortnight
- FREE accommodation or accommodation allowance
- Locum rates depending on experience. Option for living away from home tax benefits – more take home pay upto $6 per hour extra
- $200 towards travel
- Current valid ‘C’ class Victorian driver’s licence required
