Structural Estimator

Job Title: Structural Estimator
Location: El Mirage, AZ
Pay: Starting at $24.00/hour (DOE)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Estimator to join our Estimating Department in El Mirage, AZ. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in structural steel estimating who can step in and contribute quickly to bid preparation and project costing.

This is not an entry-level or trainee position. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in structural steel estimating and be comfortable working on bid proposals with minimal ramp-up time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for structural steel projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate takeoffs
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary project information
• Assist in developing competitive pricing strategies for bids
• Maintain organized documentation of estimates and bid submissions
• Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in structural steel estimating (required)
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Experience with takeoffs, bid preparation, and project costing
• Familiarity with estimating software (ability to learn company systems quickly)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Someone who can step in and begin contributing to bid proposal preparation after learning internal systems
• Hands-on experience specifically within structural steel (not general construction estimating)
• A self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced estimating environment
