Assistant Controller

Growing industry leader in the Capital District is looking for an Assistant Controller as they continue to grow their finance team. Candidates would be responsible for:

• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements
• Overseeing the financial close process; including month, quarterly, and annual closings
• Revenue recognition and client billing processes
• Assist with the maintenance of complex internal controls; working with external auditors on compliance
• Helping develop effective policy and process improvement within the finance team
• Perform cash flow analysis and related financial reports
• General ledger maintenance including entries and reconciliations
• Special projects as assigned

• Bachelors or Masters in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of professional experience; public accounting preferred
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills; experience utilizing an ERP system
• Excellent communicative and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and experience working in a deadline driven environment
