Program Manager - Finance Transformation

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Program Manager to take a leading role within a large-scale Finance Transformation program for a major financial services organisation.

This is a significant and complex multi year program of work involving multiple interconnected workstreams across Finance, Technology, Data and broader business functions. Working closely with senior Finance leadership, you will be responsible for driving the program forward, bringing together relevant stakeholders and ensuring successful delivery against the organisation's broader Finance transformation strategy.

The role requires someone who combines strong program leadership and delivery capability with a genuine understanding of Finance Transformation. You will be comfortable operating at a senior level within a large, complex financial services environment and managing multiple stakeholders, dependencies and competing priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a large and complex Finance Transformation program across multiple workstreams
• Own the overall program roadmap, governance, milestones, dependencies, risks and delivery outcomes
• Partner closely with senior Finance, Technology, Data and business stakeholders
• Provide clear and effective reporting to senior leadership and Steering Committees
• Coordinate internal teams, project and workstream leads and external delivery partners
• Manage program risks, issues, dependencies, resources and competing priorities
• Ensure transformation initiatives remain aligned to the broader Finance strategy and target operating model
• Drive effective decision-making and maintain momentum across a complex stakeholder environment
• Support the delivery of improvements across finance processes, systems, data, reporting and controls

About you

You will be an experienced Program Manager or Finance Transformation leader with a track record of delivering significant transformation programs within complex financial services environments.  Experience required:

• Significant experience leading large-scale Finance Transformation programs within banking, financial services or insurance environments (essential)
• Experience in delivering end-to-end ERP implementations 
• Strong understanding of Finance functions, processes, systems and operating models 
• Experience delivering complex programs involving Finance, Technology and Data
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and significant program dependencies
• Strong program governance, planning, risk and stakeholder management capability
• Experience working with senior executives and presenting to Steering Committees
• The ability to operate effectively between business, finance and technology teams
• Experience working with major technology, consulting or implementation partners
• Previous experience within banking, insurance, wealth management or broader financial services will be highly regarded
