Terraform | DevSecOps

Build secure cloud platforms that enable teams to deliver at scale.

We're looking for an experienced Platform Infrastructure Engineer with a strong security mindset to join a major government digital transformation program. You'll play a key role in building and evolving a modern platform engineering capability, helping development teams deliver secure, scalable and reliable cloud solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Design, build and enhance AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Develop reusable platform modules, standards and secure infrastructure patterns.
• Work closely with Platform, DevSecOps and Engineering teams to improve automation, CI/CD pipelines and developer experience.
• Implement secure-by-default infrastructure, cloud security guardrails and IAM best practices.
• Support infrastructure across multiple environments, including development, test, QA and production.
• Improve platform reliability, consistency and operational excellence through automation.
• Contribute to technical documentation, standards and platform best practices.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders in a complex enterprise environment.

What you'll bring

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud services.
• Advanced Terraform experience, including reusable modules and state management.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar DevSecOps tooling.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation and version control.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, cloud networking, security groups, permissions and environment segregation.
• Experience implementing security controls within cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to engineering standards and platform improvements.

Highly regarded

• AWS security services and cloud security best practices.
• Security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks or ASD Essential Eight.
• SAST/DAST, container security, secrets management or policy-as-code.
• Experience working within government or other highly regulated environments.
• Platform Engineering or Internal Developer Platform (IDP) experience.
• Kafka, Confluent or event streaming technologies.
