Role Summary
Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will take a broad leadership role across financial control, reporting, commercial finance and business improvement.
This is not a traditional business as usual Financial Controller position. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening the financial foundations of the organisation while partnering closely with operational and commercial stakeholders to improve business performance.
A key focus will be improving reporting quality, strengthening controls and developing greater visibility across product profitability, inventory, costing and margins. The role will also play an important part in improving finance systems and processes across an internationally operating business.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead month end close, financial reporting and general ledger integrity
- Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes and governance frameworks
- Develop greater visibility across product profitability, gross margins and operational performance
- Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to support business decision making
- Support inventory management, product costing and supply chain finance
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and FP&A activities
- Drive improvements across finance systems, processes and workflow automation
- Support statutory reporting, audit and compliance requirements
- Partner closely with the CFO on finance transformation and broader business improvement initiatives
- CA or CPA qualified with strong Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager experience
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, industrial, wholesale, distribution or another product based environment
- Strong understanding of inventory, product costing and supply chain finance
- Demonstrated FP&A and commercial finance capability
- Strong financial reporting, controls and technical accounting experience
- Experience improving or optimising ERP systems and finance processes
- Comfortable working across international operations and with offshore stakeholders
- Hands on leadership style with the willingness to get into the detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across finance and non finance functions
- Mandarin language capability will be highly regarded given the organisation's international operations, however is not essential
- Broad Financial Controller role with genuine commercial and operational exposure
