Join our dynamic Transmission & Distribution division as a Transmission Engineer, where your expertise will power the future of high-voltage transmission projects across key locations including St. Louis, Columbus, and Akron. This crucial role offers an exciting opportunity to design, enhance, and support the infrastructure that keeps communities connected and energized. Your technical skills and leadership will directly impact large-scale transmission line projects, making a tangible difference in the energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design high and extra-high voltage (69-500kV) transmission lines utilizing PLS-CADD
• Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation assembly plans
• Develop specifications and project design criteria to ensure precision and efficiency
• Provide on-site field support during construction phases
• Foster strong client relationships and offer technical guidance to team members
• Optional: Contribute to HVDC projects for additional impact and growth opportunities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program with at least 3 years of transmission engineering experience, or
• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program with successful FE exam completion and 3 years of relevant experience, or
• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with 2 years of transmission engineering experience
• Proficiency in civil/structural engineering techniques and procedures
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM (Revit), Civil 3D, PLS, PLS-CADD, RISA-3D, MathCAD, and similar programs
• Attention to detail, organization, and collaborative team spirit

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in HVDC transmission projects
• Engineers in Training (EIT) certification

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with at least 2 years of experience
• Consulting experience is highly valued

Other Requirements:

• Occasional travel up to 20% to client and project sites in St. Louis, Columbus, Akron
• Valid professional engineering license or EIT certification is preferred
