Lead the development of conceptual and detailed product specifications for compressor products, ensuring alignment with performance data, customer requirements, and strategic objectives.

Evaluate and optimize design factors such as function, materials, performance, cost, efficiency, and compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.

Apply advanced scientific analysis and mathematical modeling to predict, assess, and improve design outcomes and alternatives.

Interpret and validate complex test results, conduct in-depth failure analysis, and establish robust qualification procedures to enhance product reliability and safety.

Utilize, refine, and develop simulations and predictive models to verify, optimize, and innovate design concepts.

Provide expert technical guidance, documentation, and peer review for engineering teams, ensuring strict adherence to standards and best practices.

Prepare, review, and present comprehensive technical reports, procedures, and customer proposals.

Lead the management of project milestones, budgets, and schedules, proactively implementing corrective actions and process improvements as needed.

Identify, resolve, and prevent design errors and deficiencies, driving revisions, engineering change orders, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Mentor and coach junior engineers, actively sharing specialized knowledge, fostering professional development, and promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution required.

8+ years of Mechanical Engineering including design experience utilizing CAD, FEA, and other engineering tools OR Master's degree from an accredited institution

5+ years experience developing hydraulic or pneumatic actuator flow control or electromechanical products
Preferences:

Strong mechanical engineering expertise in vapor/fluid control actuators and structural component development

Compressor expert, especially regarding piston-types

Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills

Leadership and mentoring skills to guide Junior Engineers and support their professional development.

Expertise with CAD, CFD, and FEA for design and analysis.

Familiarity with industry standards, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork and stakeholder engagement.

Commitment to continuous improvement, reliability engineering, and asset management best practices.

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- Fully site based in Sheboygan, WI
- Availability to travel up to 10% of the time (e.g., customer visits, training at our technical centers, trade shows, etc.)
