Perigon Group has been exclusively retained on a confidential search for a newly created Senior Financial Accountant position within a highly regarded organisation operating within a nationally significant and evolving industry landscape.
This is a rare opportunity to join an organisation at an exciting stage of its evolution, with the successful candidate playing a key role in establishing and strengthening the finance function as the business continues to expand.
Reporting directly to senior leadership and working closely with executive and board stakeholders, this position offers a broad scope encompassing financial reporting, governance, budgeting and forecasting, audit management, process improvement and strategic financial support.
Importantly, this is not a role where you will simply maintain the status quo. The organisation is continuing to refine its long-term operating model, creating an opportunity for an experienced finance professional to contribute meaningfully to the development of processes, reporting frameworks and financial governance from an early stage.
As the organisation continues to scale, the successful candidate will be well positioned to take on increasing responsibility and influence. With further growth anticipated across the business, there is a genuine pathway for this role to evolve into a broader Finance Manager capacity over time.
Key responsibilities include:
• Ownership of month-end, half-year and year-end reporting processes
• Preparation of statutory financial statements and regulatory reporting
• Leading annual audit activities and managing external stakeholders
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Board and management reporting
• Financial governance, compliance and risk management
• Continuous improvement of finance processes, systems and controls
• Supporting broader business initiatives and organisational growth
To be successful, you will bring:
• CA or CPA qualification (essential)
• Strong financial accounting, management accounting, and reporting expertise
• Experience preparing and/or reviewing audited financial statements
• Advanced analytical and financial reporting capabilities
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• The ability to operate autonomously whilst remaining hands-on
• A proactive, adaptable and commercially minded approach
This opportunity will suit an experienced Senior Financial Accountant, Finance Manager or Audit Manager seeking greater ownership, visibility and influence within a growing organisation.
