Foreman

We have an exciting opportunity has become available with one of our clients for an experienced Leading Hand/Site Foreman to join their civil construction team in Christchurch.

This role offers the chance to take on a key leadership position as second in charge, supporting the Civil Supervisor with the day-to-day running of projects. Youll be responsible for coordinating crews, maintaining productivity on site, and leading by example in a hands-on environment. Its a great opportunity for an experienced Leading Hand ready to progress, or an established Site Foreman looking for a new challenge.

With over 40 years of experience, this NZ owned business has grown into one of New Zealands leading civil engineering and precast concrete specialists. With facilities across Rotorua, Hastings, and Christchurch, they deliver major infrastructure projects nationwide.

Their expertise spans heavy civil construction, including bridges, reservoirs, buildings, culverts, and commercial and industrial concrete works. Supported by a modern fleet of trucks, cranes, and construction machinery, they have the capability, experience, and resources to deliver complex projects safely and to a high standard.

What Youll Be Doing

• Managing the day-to-day operations of projects on site.
• Assisting with project administration, including NTEs, reporting, and documentation.
• Coordinating site crews, subcontractors, and plant to keep projects running efficiently.
• Helping deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

What Youll Bring

• 5 -10 years practical experience in civil construction or infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams on site.
• A strong understanding of health and safety practices.
• Well organised, reliable, and able to use your initiative.
• A positive attitude with the fitness to thrive in a hands-on role.

Location

This is a Christchurch based role with travel occasionally required. Accommodation and travel allowances provided.
