Salary up to $85,000 - $90,000 package
Our client is a highly regarded law firm and recognised industry leader, providing specialist legal expertise. With more than 50 years of experience, the firm has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, strategic legal advice while developing long-standing relationships with its clients and the broader community.
They are now looking for an Office Assistant to join their team and work closely with Head of People & Culture, providing broad administrative and operational support across the firm.
About the role
This is a varied administration role for someone who enjoys being involved across a business and is happy to turn their hand to whatever needs doing.
Alongside the day-to-day office administration, you will have the opportunity to assist with client events, CPD sessions, internal initiatives and some marketing and communications.
Key responsibilities
- Providing broad administrative and office coordination support to HR and the wider team, including office supplies, kitchen requirements, building management and general facilities
- Coordinating internal and client-facing events, including seminars, CPD sessions, functions and staff initiatives from initial planning through to set-up and pack-down
- Assisting with client communications, invitations, brochures and other materials, with some use of Canva and digital platforms
- Supporting the firm's online content and communications, including coordinating LinkedIn updates, blogs and articles and following up with lawyers for content
- Assisting with clerk and graduate onboarding, career administration and other people-related administration
- Coordinating suppliers, obtaining quotes and assisting with venue and event arrangements
- Providing reception cover when required and assisting with general office support across the firm
About you
We are looking for an experienced administrator ideally from a professional services environment who enjoys variety and being the person who keeps things moving.
You'll ideally have:
- Professional services administration experience, ideally within a law firm or similar environment
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to assist wherever needed
- Confidence communicating with lawyers, clients, suppliers and internal teams
- Good digital skills and an eye for presentation and formatting
- An interest in events, communications or marketing, without needing a formal marketing background
- A friendly, easy-going personality and the ability to work well with a range of people
- The initiative to see what needs doing and get on with it
