Occupational Therapist

Here at Talent Quarter, we currently have a fixed term (6-12 month contract) or permanent role for a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist in Shepparton VIC.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential healthcare services to regional Australian communities.
The Role:

• Working with the frail aged and people with a disability to maximise independence at home
• Working with clients, carers and families to provide practical solutions to promote independence and safety at home
• Developing goals and care plans to assist clients to remain at home and active in their local community
• Collaborating with other clinicians in the RAHT team to offer holistic care to clients referred
• Working with a diverse range of clients and health conditions.
• Working across funding streams such as HACC PYP, CHSP & possibly the NDIS (minimal, if any)
• Opportunity to work with Allied Health Assistants to undertake client care programs and equipment trials.
• Primarily home based work with some opportunity for clinic appts.

 
About You:

• Community OT experience
• Knowledge of Australian Building Standards with Home modifications
• Experience with Scooter assessments, Wheelchair prescription
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a pleasant, kind manner
• Current, valid AHPRA Registrations
• Have a valid Background/ Police Check, plus are able to provide at least 2 working references
• Be comfortable to work in regional setting
• Familiar with funding schemes such as Geat2GO and SWEP is desirable
• Working with the elderly is a bonus!
