- Previous experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within the WA Public Sector
- Experience with position management and establishment-related activities
- Experience in recruitment and onboarding
- Experience reviewing payroll data/processing
- Strong administrative, organisational and communication skills
- A high level of initiative to proactively seek out the information they need to complete designated tasks
- A strong sense of urgency and experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using Ascender/aPay desirable
The role would primarily focus on:
- Assisting with recruitment activities, including drafting/updating Position Descriptions, drafting advertisements, providing recruitment administrative support
- Assisting with position management and establishment administration
- Assisting with onboarding and employee commencement processes
- Reviewing payroll data, reports and payments
- Responding to general HR enquiries from employees and managers, including matters relating to secondments, acting arrangements and other employment-related queries
- Providing administrative support for WHS-related activities and record keeping
- Gathering, collating and maintaining HR information for reports, audits and workforce planning purposes
- Providing broader HR administrative support across the team as required
