Low Voltage Cable Technician - Baltimore, MD & Surrounding Areas

Responsibilities: 
  • Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable 
  • Test installed cable (Fluke or similar testers) 
  • Punch down voice and data jacks 
  • Install J-hooks, pathways, cable tray systems, racks, cabinets, patch panels, and MDF/IDF infrastructure, etc. 
  • Install/support access control, CCTV, audio visual, and fiber optic systems 
  • Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights) 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and structured cabling layouts to complete installations accurately
Requirements: 
  • 2+ years of commercial/industrial low voltage experience 
  • Experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred 
  • Experience installing J-hooks, cable tray, racks, patch panels, cabinets, and MDF/IDF infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of BICSI standards, cable support requirements, and quality installation practices
  • BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus 
  • Must provide basic hand tools and required PPE
  • Working knowledge of telecom/data networks 
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel to job sites throughout Baltimore, Montgomery County, and Frederick, MD, and surrounding areas as project needs require
