Day Shift | $55–$57/hr + Overtime | Permanent Position

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter with electrical knowledge looking for a secure, long-term opportunity?

We're partnering with a well-established manufacturing business that is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their maintenance team on a permanent basis. This is a day shift role with plenty of overtime available, offering excellent earning potential and immediate interviews.

About the RoleWorking as part of the maintenance team, you'll be responsible for carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance across production equipment to keep operations running efficiently. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical faults
  • Maintain production machinery to minimise downtime
  • Install, service and commission equipment as required
  • Work closely with production to ensure maximum plant reliability
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintenance documentation
About YouTo be successful in this role, you'll have:
  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
  • Electrical fault-finding experience (disconnect/reconnect experience highly regarded)
  • D Class Electrical Licence preferred
  • Previous experience within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
