Location: Dexter, MI Shift: 1st shift (5am-3:30pm) Pay: $17.50
Job Summary
We are seeking dependable and safety-focused Material Handlers in Dexter, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, moving, storing, and tracking materials throughout the facility while supporting inventory accuracy and production flow. This position also includes cycle counting and operating material handling equipment in a clean manufacturing environment.
This is a temporary opportunity with advancement potential through Workbox Staffing.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Material Handler, your core responsibilities will include:
• Load, unload, and move materials throughout the plant, warehouse, and work areas
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts/hi-lo, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and hoists
• Use work orders, computers, and verbal instructions to locate and transport materials
• Receive and verify incoming materials and identify shortages, damage, or quality concerns
• Secure loads and ensure proper movement and storage procedures are followed
• Move materials to designated staging and production areas
• Open containers to count, weigh, and document materials moved
• Label and identify materials accurately
• Stack, assemble, and bundle materials for storage and shipment
• Complete daily production sheets and cycle counts
• Assist with physical inventory counts as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures
• Support team projects and production goals
• Work overtime as assigned

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Current Power Industrial Truck (PIT – Forklift/Hi-Lo) license required
• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and move throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted

• Additional PPE may be required depending on department assignment
