About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and analytical Senior Java Backend Developer to maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot mission-critical backend applications. You will be responsible for resolving complex production issues, implementing new features, improving system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex backend application issues.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new application enhancements and change requests.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term solutions for recurring issues.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable Java code.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Refactor and modernize legacy applications to improve performance and maintainability.
- Collaborate with QA, Product Managers, and Frontend Developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Optimize SQL queries and database performance.
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java.
- Good experience working with SQL databases.
- Experience with ReactJS and/or NodeJS.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, debugging, and production support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience performing root cause analysis and resolving production incidents.
- Familiarity with code reviews and software development best practices.
- Experience maintaining or modernizing legacy applications is an advantage.
