Job Title: Location: QA Lab Technician II, Bakersfield, CA
Summary: The Quality Assurance Lab Technician II provides assistance for the Quality Assurance laboratory with various Quality initiatives;

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

Assists in obtaining supplies and calibrating equipment;
Analyzing production samples and raw material samples for physical and chemical characteristics;
Investigates quality and production issues including customer complaints per supervisor requests;
Prepare samples for internal and external customers as requested;
Maintains quality production records in a timely manner;
Ensure adherence to appropriate government regulations and company procedures;
Any ad-hoc task or project assigned by management; quality or production related;

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High School or GED desired;
Two (2) years' Manufacturing or Lab experience, a plus;
Demonstrated high level of computer experience;
Demonstrated good communication skills;
Valid Drivers' License; (no driving is required but someone who is forklift certified would be a plus )

Computer Skills:
Ability and knowledge in Microsoft office applications (word, excel, and power point);
Ability and knowledge in LIMS Software;

Attention to Detail:
Ability to pay close attention to detail for accuracy and thoroughness in completing work;
Ability to keep privileged information confidential;

Cooperation:
Job requires being cordial with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, fair attitude;

Adaptability/Flexibility:
Job requires being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace;

Occasionally required to squat, stoop, bend, kneel, twist, scoop;
Local travel required.
Shift start time: 7:00 am, subject to change in the summer time to 6:00 am
