The Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Training Sales Engineer to join the team in multiple locations across Australia. You will be responsible for delivering on-the-job training and coaching, developing tailored training programs, and ensuring all training content reflects the latest plant technologies and compliance requirements. This role is ideal for a highly skilled trainer with technical expertise in water treatment who thrives in a hands-on, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-the-job training and coaching for employees and clients
- Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and create tailored programs
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation
- Ensure all training content aligns with current plant technologies, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Measure training effectiveness through KPIs and feedback, driving continuous improvement
- Foster a strong safety, quality, and compliance culture across all learning initiatives
About You
- “Train the Trainer” certification – Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40010 or 40016) (Essential)
- Trade qualification or relevant water industry qualification
- Proven experience delivering technical training, ideally in water or wastewater treatment
- Knowledge of desalination, industrial water treatment, and membrane technology
- Hands-on experience with operation and maintenance of water treatment plants
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
