As their project portfolio continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team and play a key role in securing and delivering the next generation of projects across Queensland.
 
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, the Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a wide range of electrical projects. This is a strategic role requiring strong commercial acumen, technical expertise, and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
You will lead the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission, ensuring all opportunities are assessed effectively and align with the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and develop pricing strategies.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify project risks and opportunities during tender review.
• Develop tender submissions and supporting documentation.
• Participate in client meetings, clarification processes, and negotiations.
• Maintain and improve estimating systems, databases, and procedures.
• Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure successful project handover.
• Mentor and support junior estimating staff where required.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in an Electrical Estimator or Senior Estimator position.
• Possess an Electrical trade qualification and/or engineering background.
• Strong understanding of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure electrical projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, installation methodologies, and industry standards.
• High-level proficiency in estimating software and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• A proactive and collaborative approach with strong attention to detail.
• Experience working within a Tier 1, Tier 2, or large-scale electrical contracting environment.
• Knowledge of Queensland market conditions, suppliers, and subcontractors.
