CNC Mill Programmer – Aerospace Manufacturing

Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Thursday | 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
Pay: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience
Additional Pay: 6% shift differential

What You Will Do

  • Develop, create, and maintain CNC programs for milling equipment.

  • Utilize Mastercam software to generate toolpaths and machining programs from engineering drawings and CAD models.

  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T requirements, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.

  • Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, workholding methods, and machining strategies.

  • Support machine setup, program prove-out, troubleshooting, and production activities.

  • Modify and optimize existing CNC programs to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.

  • Verify program accuracy through simulation, first article inspections, and production validation.

  • Maintain CNC program documentation, tooling records, and revision control.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Experience utilizing Mastercam.

  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience creating and editing CNC programs for CNC milling machines.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Experience applying GD&T principles.

  • Experience using precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience programming 4-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machining centers.

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, or other high-precision manufacturing environments.

  • Experience programming components from CAD models using Mastercam.

  • Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems.

  • Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and nickel-based alloys.

  • Associate degree or technical certification in CNC Programming, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.

  • Experience supporting first article inspections and production process validation.
