Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and service for security systems, including integrated and high-security systems
- Lead service calls involving complex security system issues and provide expert solutions
- Troubleshoot, service, and maintain access control, CCTV, and other security system components
- Perform system upgrades, modifications, and enhancements based on client needs and technology advancements
- Read and interpret security system drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, system changes, repairs, and client interactions
- Mentor and assist less experienced technicians with troubleshooting and service tasks
- Work safely on ladders and aerial lifts while performing elevated and overhead work
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
- Travel to customer job sites throughout Vermont and surrounding areas as needed
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of commercial experience servicing and troubleshooting security systems
- Strong technical knowledge of security system components, integrations, and system architecture
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve advanced or complex system issues
- Proven problem-solving skills and strong customer service abilities
- Ability to mentor and support less experienced technicians
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in electronics or a related field preferred
- Advanced security certifications such as CPP or PSP are a plus
- Experience with high-security or large-scale integrated security systems is highly preferred
- Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
- Must be comfortable working at heights on ladders and aerial lifts
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Willingness to travel throughout Vermont and surrounding areas
- Must have a current, valid driver’s license and the ability to meet applicable company driving standards
