Job Summary

Are you a motivated and dependable individual who enjoys hands-on work? We're seeking a Warehouse Equipment Operator to join our team in Traverse City, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping move, process, and document materials while maintaining production efficiency and high-quality standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Warehouse Equipment Operator, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Metal Processing (80%): Sort, grade, weigh, and document metals for industrial accounts.

  • Shipping & Receiving (20%): Assist with incoming and outgoing shipments, including backup support for the Shipping & Receiving Lead.

  • Communication & Coordination: Work with commercial stakeholders to ensure smooth material handling operations.

In addition, you will also be expected to maintain a clean and organized work environment, including housekeeping tasks in the warehouse and outside areas.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in hot or cold, medium- to fast-paced environments

  • Able to work independently and in small teams

  • Consistently meet production and quality standards

Skills:

  • Physical Strength: Ability to do repetitive lifting up to 75 lbs as needed.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills for clear coordination.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate documentation and high-quality material handling.

  • Teamwork: Work effectively in a collaborative environment.
