Automation Technician
Pay: $30–$34/hour
Shifts Available (M–F):
Automation Technician Duties & Responsibilities:Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and related controls components.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automated systems and automation cells.
Assist with PLC programming, modifications, and debugging (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens).
Support robot programming and optimization to improve cycle times and overall performance.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and blueprints.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve uptime, efficiency, scrap reduction, and reliability.
Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation.
Respond urgently to downtime events to minimize production loss.
Support mold changes and automation setup for new and existing programs.
Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Follow all plant safety procedures and OSHA requirements; ensure equipment meets guarding and safety standards.
Support compliance with IATF 16949 and internal quality systems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Automation Technician Qualifications:Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication across all levels of the organization.
Shifts Available (M–F):
- 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Automation Technician Duties & Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automation equipment including:
- Robotics (Fanuc, Wittman, Sepro, Viper)
- End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT)
- Conveyors and part-handling systems
Automation Technician Qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Technology, or related field (preferred).
- 1+ years of automation experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
- Plastic injection molding experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of:
- PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- Robotics (Fanuc, Wittman, Sepro, Viper)
- Electrical systems (24V, 120V, 480V)
- Sensors, vision systems, and servo drives
