Software Engineer, Data Platform

As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Zoom AI through innovative engineering solutions. You'll take the lead in developing and enhancing AI algorithms, techniques, and solutions for our AI Companion product. Working closely with experienced researchers and engineers, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to achieving groundbreaking results. Zoom seeks a pioneering Data Platform Engineer to join our expanding team. In this role, you'll collaborate with data professionals to design and build innovative applications leveraging Zoom's data platform.
About the Team
Zoom is at the forefront of revolutionizing collaboration experiences. We are looking for a qualified candidate to join us to continuously elevate our Zoom Platform and AI services to higher levels. Zoom is expanding the Data Platform Engineering team. As one of the pioneer Platform / Software engineers in the team, you will work as a Partner with data architects, engineers, data scientists and data analysts. Leveraging Zoom’s data platform to design, guide and build new applications to serve the business.
What we’re looking for
4+ years of hands-on experience in software development
Have solid programming skills in Python and at least one compiled language (Java, Go, C++, etc).
Have experience with web frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Spring Boot.
Have experience with automated software testing (unit tests, integration tests, mocks etc).
Have experience with containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes).
Have an understanding of API development, authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT), and basic security practice.
Have familiarity with CI/CD workflows, containerization (Docker), and version control systems like Git.
Have exposure to MLOps pipelines or ML model deployment workflows would be advantageous.
Be familiar with GenAI concepts like RAG, agentic orchestration, or prompt engineering would be advantageous.
Have knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or distributed data technologies (Spark, NoSQL) would be advantageous.
Have frontend development experience with frameworks like React.js, Vue.js would be advantageous.
