The Opportunity We’re partnering with a key government department seeking a Data Quality Assurance & Governance Lead to drive enterprise-level data quality and governance initiatives.
This is a critical role focused on establishing and enforcing data quality frameworks across hybrid environments, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and trust in decision-making.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the design and implementation of data quality assurance frameworks and governance models
- Define and enforce data standards, policies, and controls across the organisation
- Implement data profiling, validation rules, and exception handling processes
- Establish monitoring and reporting mechanisms to ensure ongoing data quality and compliance
- Work across hybrid data environments (on-prem and cloud) to ensure consistency and integrity
- Collaborate with business, data, and technology stakeholders to uplift data governance maturity
- Drive remediation strategies for data issues and improve data lifecycle management
- Support regulatory and compliance requirements within a government context
- Proven experience leading data quality assurance and governance initiatives
- Strong hands-on expertise in data profiling, validation frameworks, and exception management
- Experience working across hybrid data environments
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and compliance standards
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across business and technical teams
- Experience within government or highly regulated environments
- Active NV1 Security Clearance (essential)
- Lead a high-impact data governance transformation
- Work within a critical government environment
- Influence enterprise-wide data quality and trust frameworks
- Strong potential for extension beyond initial contract
