Territory Sales Manager – Pet Accessories | Northeast & Eastern Scotland
Field-based, Northeast England and eastern Scotland
Up to £40,000 basic + commission/bonus + company car
Know your customers. Grow your patch. See the result in store.
If the best part of sales for you is getting out to see customers, spotting what is missing on a shelf and coming back with an idea that actually helps them sell more, this one is worth a look.
We're excited to be partnering with this pet accessories business for the first time. It has an established name in the pet trade, a broad range of products and a substantial customer base ready for somebody who can build on existing relationships while opening new doors.
This is a proper field sales role. You'll take ownership of a territory across Northeast England and eastern Scotland, working with independent pet retailers, some multi-site customers and wholesalers. You'll decide which accounts need a regular visit, where a new range or promotion could make a difference, and where there is new business to win.
What you'll be doing
You have proven field sales experience, can grow existing accounts and enjoy the challenge of winning new ones. You plan a territory sensibly, build rapport quickly and are comfortable turning customer insight into a commercial recommendation. Pet trade experience would be brilliant, especially if you know independent retailers, but the client is equally interested in strong salespeople from other specialist retail or consumer product sectors who want to build a career in pet.
This patch includes regular travel and occasional overnight stays, particularly for the Scotland area. Most of your working week will be spent face to face with customers, so you'll need to enjoy life on the road.
