Cold Storage Reach Operator

Location: Greenville, TX
Pay Rate: $18.50/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Must be flexible to work overtime and schedule changes, including shifts from 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM based on business needs.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Reach Operator to join our cold storage warehouse team in Greenville, TX. The Reach Operator is responsible for safely operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment to move, stage, and load products within a temperature-controlled warehouse environment. This position requires experience working in cold storage, loading docks, and handling palletized freight while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a reach truck to move, store, and retrieve products throughout the warehouse.

• Load and unload pallets from trailers and staging areas.

• Utilize electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.

• Accurately stage and organize products according to shipping and receiving requirements.

• Inspect equipment before each shift and report any maintenance or safety concerns.

• Verify product counts and ensure load accuracy.

• Follow all safety procedures, warehouse policies, and PPE requirements.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workflow and operational needs.

• Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Reach Truck operating experience required.

• Previous experience in a cold storage or freezer environment preferred.

• Experience working on loading docks and operating electric pallet jacks.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout an 8–10 hour shift.

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.

• Ability to climb stairs and work in a physically demanding environment.

• Must be able to wear required PPE, including insulated clothing, gloves, and safety equipment.

Work Environment

• Cold storage warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from:

  • Cooler Areas: 34°F to 65°F

  • Freezer Areas: -10°F to 0°F

• Exposure to forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

• Fast-paced warehouse setting with varying noise levels.

• Overtime, weekend work, and schedule adjustments may be required based on operational needs.
