Senior Operation Manager (Chemical)

We are representing an established chemical tanker owner in the search for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to be base in South Europe to lead their operations and support international charterers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded shipping professional with strong experience in chemical tanker operations and exposure to Atlantic Basin / Western trading markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations for the chemical tanker fleet
• Liaise closely with charterers, brokers, owners, terminals, and agents
• Support chartering activities and commercial operations focused on European customers
• Monitor voyage performance, scheduling, and operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with safety, vetting, and regulatory requirements
• Handle operational troubleshooting and claims management when required

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in chemical tanker operations
• Previous chemical tanker operations experience is essential
• Strong understanding of voyage operations and commercial shipping practices
• Experience working with Atlantic Basin / Western charterers and trade routes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment
