Truck Builder/Fabricator Key Responsibilities:

  • Install vocational equipment onto truck platforms per customer and build specifications
  • Perform 12V electrical wiring and troubleshoot basic electrical issues
  • Install and connect hydraulic components (pumps, PTOs, valves, manifolds, plumbing, etc.)
  • Perform mechanical assembly, mounting, alignment, and fit-up of components
  • Cut, weld, and fabricate parts as needed to complete installations
  • Read and interpret installation instructions, diagnostic guides, and technical documentation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and follow shop safety procedures

Truck Builder/Fabricator Qualifications (Preferred Experience & Skills)

  • Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems (pumps, PTOs, valves, plumbing, manifolds, etc.)
  • Understanding of 12V electrical systems and wiring
  • Ability to weld (including mild steel and stainless steel)
  • Proficiency using an oxy-acetylene torch
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail

Truck Builder/Fabricator Physical Requirements

Qualified candidates must be able to:

  • Lift up to 75 lbs
  • Stand for the majority of the workday
  • Sit, kneel, and bend at the waist as needed
  • Crawl under vehicles and work from a laying position
  • Climb to heights of up to 15 feet and perform manual tasks at height
  • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
Truck Builder/Fabricator Pay and Schedule:
  • $25-$35/hr depending on experience
  • In-season: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Off-season: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
