BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The position of Lead, Hand will help all Canadian CFC facilities with compliance in Safety, ISO Certifications, 5S, Continuous Improvement, IT Support, SOP Creation, Training and back-up support for the day-to-day operations of an 85,000 sq. ft. facility located in Beamsville CFC. This individual will be leading warehouse associates in shipping and receiving while maintaining inventory accuracy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain, Track and Manage Safety Program for all CFC locations in Canada. This includes safety meetings, safety walks, First aid training, CPR Training, Fire Drills, sprinkler tests, and safety compliance to ministry regulations. And all other applicable safety requirements, such as maintaining proper paperwork and employee communications.
· Responsible for maintaining ISO Certification at all Canadian CFC locations. This includes updating records, Participating in internal and external audits. Creating corrective actions on audit results. Respond to inquiries and working with other business partners.
· Lead lean initiatives including 5S audits, Proactive Implementation of Continuous Improvement Initiatives, visual management, Gemba walks, track results and working with internal business partners on implementing corporate lean initiatives.
· This role will be responsible for managing IT issues experienced by any of the Canadian CFC's. Creating tickets and tracking outstanding IT requests to completion.
· This person will document all Standard Operating Procedures. Document all current state activities and create a filing system for training purposes.
· This position will track, document, and maintain all training records for associates at all our CFC facilities.
· Implement procedures provided by management to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
· Back up leadership operational support at the Beamsville location covering vacations.
· Provide daily pick support as required by the supervisor.
· Learn and be knowledgeable about all warehouse procedures. Including opening and closing of the Beamsville facility.
· Support in Achieving productivity and accuracy goals.
· Survey inside building specifically warehouse floor for security concerns daily. Ability to arm security system and unarm security system.
· Responsible for the safety and security of all associates.
· Coordinate appropriate training for all to empower individuals to meet performance expectations. This includes initial training, development, and specific follow-up training needs. · Maintains compliance with ISO9001 standard within the facility.
· Supports the Safety Culture by following established SOP's.
· Assists department supervisors in identifying risks to associates or the business and mitigate those risks.
· Participates in teams and task forces as required.
· Administers personnel policies and operations procedures to meet company standards of performance.
· Provides an effective and acceptable means for associates to bring problems and complaints to the attention of the Distribution Center Manager.
· Supports and promotes continuous improvement initiatives throughout the Distribution Center.
· Full understanding of the shipping process.
· Helps to support leadership with overall building operations and goals.
· Continually assist to develop associate strengths and skills with warehouse tasks and ensure to utilize all team members inclusively.
· Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
· Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS What You Need:
· High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
· 1-3 years of experience in a distribution center with a general knowledge of distribution controls and operations required.
· Strong leadership skills. Able to effectively lead and direct a team of associates.
· Strong customer focus and results driven.
· Working knowledge of ERP systems.
· Highly adaptable.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
· Ability to work flexible hours including the day or afternoon shift and overtime as required.
· Able to travel to other Canadian locations 2-3 times per year.

Compensation starting at $18.27 Hr - $28.72 Hr depending on candidate location and experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
