Cold Store Supervisor

CG Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Cold Store Supervisors to join a leading warehousing and distribution operation. We have four opportunities available across various shifts within a fast paced cold storage environment.

About the Role

As a Cold Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading warehouse operations within a temperature controlled environment, ensuring daily operational targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, productivity, quality and team performance.

You will provide hands on leadership, support and direction to your team while driving a positive workplace culture and ensuring operational excellence across all areas of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and supervise warehouse team members

• Manage daily warehouse operations within a cold storage environment

• Coordinate labour allocation and workflow activities

• Monitor productivity and ensure operational KPIs are achieved

• Oversee inbound and outbound freight operations

• Maintain inventory accuracy and stock control processes

• Conduct toolbox talks and team briefings

• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all workplace procedures

• Support employee development through coaching and performance management

• Work closely with management to improve operational efficiency and outcomes

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Cold Store Supervisor

• Demonstrated supervisory experience within a cold storage or temperature controlled warehouse environment

• Forklift Licence (LF)

• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

• Strong leadership and people management skills

• Sound understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, receiving and dispatch processes

• Excellent communication, organisation and problem solving abilities

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

• Previous experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or food distribution environments

• Strong administration and reporting capabilities

• Ability to work across a variety of shifts
