Learning Project Manager




LOCATION: Remote – California (with onsite as needed)

SCHEDULE: M–F, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

DURATION: 6-month contract

PAY: 78-83 USD per hour



Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will manage learning projects and portfolios within the Enterprise Learning & Development (ELD) organization. You will provide strategic direction to ensure employees across the company possess the knowledge and skills required to work safely and in accordance with corporate and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

· Managing multiple learning projects and portfolios across diverse operating units.

· Providing strategic direction and recommendations to the Enterprise Learning & Development group.

· Overseeing the implementation of training initiatives and evaluating their effectiveness.

· Identifying performance and training gaps and developing solutions to address organizational needs.

· Ensuring training programs and curricula remain current and aligned with safety, operational, corporate, and regulatory requirements.

· Developing implementation roadmaps, managing project execution, and navigating project obstacles.

· Making data-driven recommendations and executing complex initiatives addressing regulatory and operational challenges.

· Collaborating with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), Instructional Designers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

· Supporting initiatives that shape workforce performance and promote safe and compliant operations.

Essential Duties and Job Functions:

· Oversee the implementation of training programs across multiple organizational units and assess program effectiveness.

· Evaluate training outcomes, identify gaps, and report findings and recommendations to appropriate stakeholders.

· Maintain oversight of training curricula and support the development of new training programs.

· Ensure learning content remains accurate, current, and aligned with applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

· Assess performance gaps and recommend appropriate learning and development solutions.

· Gather and define training project requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders and SMEs.

· Develop project plans, implementation roadmaps, schedules, and deliverables.

· Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and develop solutions to keep initiatives on track.

· Provide clear and concise training recommendations to business leaders and cross-functional teams.

· Analyze data and project outcomes to develop actionable recommendations.

· Support complex initiatives designed to address regulatory, operational, and workforce performance challenges.

· Assess the impact of regulatory requirements and safety initiatives on electric grid infrastructure and operational processes, including customer service and craft operations.

· Interpret regulatory requirements and align technical business operations across multiple organizational units.

· Report findings and recommendations to key regulatory and business stakeholders as appropriate.

· Support automation initiatives designed to promote compliance with policies and governing agency requirements.

· Incorporate appropriate safeguards into process and solution designs to support regulatory compliance.

· Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into operational and training recommendations.

· Ability to work effectively across multiple organizational units and with diverse stakeholders.

· Experience supporting process automation and compliance-focused solutions is preferred.

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

· Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.

· Typically possesses 1–3 years of experience coordinating or managing small to medium-sized projects or product workstreams.

· Experience overseeing training initiatives across diverse operating units.

· Experience assessing training effectiveness, identifying performance gaps, and reporting outcomes.

· Experience maintaining and developing training curricula aligned with safety and regulatory requirements.

· Experience developing project requirements, implementation roadmaps, schedules, and deliverables.

· Experience collaborating with business leaders, SMEs, Instructional Designers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

· Experience making data-driven recommendations and executing complex initiatives.

· Experience with regulatory and operational challenges within an electric utility, infrastructure, or similarly regulated environment is preferred.

· Experience interpreting regulatory requirements across multiple organizational units, including craft operations, is preferred.

· Experience implementing automation solutions that support regulatory compliance is preferred.
