Program Scheduler – Brisbane

10-Month Contract | Brisbane

We are seeking an experienced Program Scheduler to join a large-scale technology transformation program in Brisbane.

This is a hands-on scheduling role working closely with the Program Integration Office, Master Scheduler, project managers, technical teams and external vendors. You will play a key role in maintaining program schedules, identifying dependencies and risks, and driving consistent planning and scheduling practices across multiple workstreams.

About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting the Master Scheduler and Program Integration Office, ensuring project and program schedules remain accurate, integrated and aligned to key delivery milestones.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate project planning sessions across multiple program workstreams, with an understanding of the software development lifecycle across Design, Build, Test and Implementation.
  • Provide planning and scheduling support to the Master Scheduler, including maintaining the master schedule and associated sub-plans.
  • Work closely with project managers, technical teams and vendors to maintain accurate schedules and track delivery performance.
  • Provide guidance and advice on schedule development, maintenance and performance.
  • Review project schedules, identify gaps, dependencies, risks and areas requiring attention, and work with project teams to address them.
  • Identify and resolve complex scheduling issues to support successful program outcomes.
  • Monitor key deliverables, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues.
  • Challenge vendor schedule variations and change requests, providing evidence-based recommendations to support informed program decisions.
  • Contribute to the development of scheduling standards, processes, dashboards and reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders to promote effective planning and scheduling practices.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5+ years' experience in program/project scheduling or planning, ideally within large-scale technology programs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with technology vendors and systems integrators.
  • Strong understanding of project methodologies, scheduling dependencies and integrated program planning.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve complex scheduling issues.
  • Strong experience communicating deliverables, milestones, timelines, risks, issues and dependencies to stakeholders.
  • Experience reviewing and challenging vendor schedules, variations and change requests.
  • Strong program documentation, reporting and record-keeping skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working across virtual, cross-functional and multi-vendor teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate complex program environments.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and schedule management.

Desirable

  • Experience working on a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program.
  • Experience within Federal, State or Local Government environments.
  • Exposure to SAP Activate methodology.
  • Experience supporting ERP or enterprise technology transformation programs.
