Commercial Project Manager – Large-Scale Architectural Skylights

Position Overview
In this role, you will control each skylight job from the initial design phase through production release to the completion of installation, ensuring overall project profitability.
Key Responsibilities

• Design Coordination: Coordinate skylight details with the building's support structure, frequently collaborating with the design team to confirm the structural integration.
• Engineering Oversight: Direct the skylight design to meet all project specifications and oversee the CAD preparation of detailed shop drawings.
• Project Scheduling & Controls: Maintain critical project schedules, issue material purchase requests, and prepare and manage Change Orders.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact to address questions from contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants.
• Issue & Scope Resolution: Resolve contractual scope discrepancies, collaborate to solve fabrication issues, and actively troubleshoot the field installation process.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in project management or architectural engineering is preferred.
• Product Expertise: Deep familiarity with skylight, curtainwall, and related structural glass/aluminum systems is required.
• Technical Literacy: Strong technical background in architectural and construction methodology, with the ability to fluidly read architectural and structural drawings.

• Project Controls: Proven scheduling, multi-tasking, and technical problem-solving capabilities.
• Organization: Superior organizational skills to successfully manage a heavy, fast-paced workload.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored for frequent, high-level customer and contractor contact.
