Role overview
The Manufacturing Engineer will support and improve day-to-day manufacturing operations, driving process stability, efficiency, quality, and cost improvement. This role partners closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and NPI teams to implement robust manufacturing processes and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support to production to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Develop, implement, and optimise manufacturing processes, work instructions, routings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Lead continuous improvement projects (Lean / Six Sigma) focused on cycle time reduction, yield improvement, scrap reduction, and productivity gains.
• Support equipment selection, commissioning, validation/qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ as applicable), and process capability studies.
• Collaborate with Quality to support NCRs, CAPA, deviation investigations, and customer complaints where manufacturing input is required.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) / process transfer activities including PFMEA, control plans, line balancing, and training.
• Ensure EHS standards are embedded into process design and daily engineering support (risk assessments, safe work practices).
• Analyse production data and KPIs; provide reports and recommendations to improve performance and uptime.
• Work with suppliers/contractors on tooling, fixtures, jigs, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering (or similar).
• 3+ years’ manufacturing engineering experience in a high-volume or regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of process engineering, production support, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and root cause analysis with measurable outcomes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence on the shop floor.

• Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing data systems.
• Experience with validation/qualification processes.
