Engineering Tradesperson / Fabricator Welder

We are working with a  well-established engineering company based in Palmerston North looking to add an experienced Tradesperson to their team. Ideally, you will be a trade-qualified Fabricator Welder or Fitter/Turner, with strong practical skills and a solid work ethic.
This is a great opportunity to join a supportive workshop team with consistent hours and a competitive pay rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• General engineering and fabrication work
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Assembly, fitting, and fabrication of components
• Workshop-based work with occasional on-site tasks
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade qualification in Heavy Fabrication, Fitting & Turning, or similar
• Heavy Transport Engineering background would an advantage
• Experience in a general engineering or fabrication workshop
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
