An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join a leading global resources organisation, supporting the delivery of major capital projects across Western Australia.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager - Capital, you will be the key procurement lead responsible for managing sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier performance, and procurement strategy execution across multiple capital projects. Working closely with engineering, project delivery and operational stakeholders, you will ensure critical equipment, materials and services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project schedules and budgets.

Procurement Specialist - Capital Projects
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join a leading global resources organisation, supporting the delivery of major capital projects across Western Australia.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager - Capital, you will be the key procurement lead responsible for managing sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier performance, and procurement strategy execution across multiple capital projects. Working closely with engineering, project delivery and operational stakeholders, you will ensure critical equipment, materials and services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for major capital projects.
- Lead RFIs, RFPs, supplier evaluations and contract negotiations.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance and contractual obligations.
- Ensure goods and services are delivered on time, within specification and budget.
- Identify and deliver cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
- Monitor procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Provide procurement guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, governance standards and procurement procedures.
- Proven experience in capital project procurement within mining, resources, energy, manufacturing or heavy industry.
- Strong contract negotiation and supplier management capability.
- Experience managing complex sourcing activities and high-value procurement packages.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, project delivery and operational teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on value creation and risk management.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
