Responsibilities:
- Pull, terminate, dress, and label fire alarm cabling in commercial and industrial environments
- Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment
- Install, terminate, troubleshoot, service, and program fire alarm panels and devices
- Install smoke detectors, pull stations, horn/strobes, modules, and other fire alarm components
- Read and interpret fire alarm blueprints, riser diagrams, and system layouts
- Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems
- Troubleshoot wiring, devices, and system functionality issues
- Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on existing fire alarm systems
- Work safely on ladders and lifts and be comfortable working at heights
- Maintain compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local fire codes
- Support fire alarm installations and service projects at schools, hospitals, office buildings, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and other commercial sites
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems
- Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes and standards
- Experience with fire alarm systems such as Edwards, Silent Knight, FireLite, Notifier, Honeywell, Siemens, or similar platforms
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project documentation
- Experience testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems
- NICET, OSHA, Lift, and other industry certifications are a plus
- Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
- Willingness to travel to job sites throughout the region as needed
