Job Details: 

Hybrid 2x a week Onsite in NY
Permanent Full Time Permanent- Direct Hire
$185,000 max rate W2

Required Skills

• Strong background in C++ with experience developing high-performance backend applications
• Proven experience designing and building enterprise-scale distributed systems and microservices
• Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot), Python (FastAPI or similar), and related frameworks
• Deep understanding of scalable, reliable, and secure system design
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
• Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, influence architecture decisions, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, SQL tuning, and data access patterns
• Experience with modern software development lifecycle practices and Agile methodologies

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform
• Familiarity with Kafka, MSK, EventBridge, Redis, Valkey, MongoDB, or DynamoDB
• Knowledge of C#/.NET applications and services
• Background in financial services, regulated environments, or data-heavy industries
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, LangChain, LlamaIndex)
• Hands-on experience with event streaming, caching, and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions and enterprise AI governance
• Background in data engineering, analytics ecosystems, or data lake architectures

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3–5 years leading technical teams
