An established company based in Galway (Lough Atalia Rd) is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on an initial 12-month contract, with a view to being made permanent.

Working as part of a strong and supportive finance team, you will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day accounting duties, including:

  • Processing and posting supplier invoices to the accounting system
  • Matching invoices against purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies
  • Processing and allocating customer payments to the correct accounts
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Monthly creditor and debtor reconciliations
  • Assisting with VAT payments and ensuring accurate financial records
  • Supporting the wider finance team with general accounts administration

This is a busy, fast-paced role that requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a high level of accuracy. You will be comfortable managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining excellent standards.
