Working within the Health Technology Management Unit, you'll play a key role in ensuring critical medical and scientific equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational across hospital facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with biomedical, electronics, or medical equipment experience to join a highly regarded healthcare team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader - Biomedical Electronics, responsibilities will include:
- Performing maintenance, repairs, quality assurance testing and fault finding on specialised medical and scientific equipment
- Conducting safety inspections and performance verification testing
- Assisting with the installation, upgrade and commissioning of new clinical systems and equipment
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors and service providers regarding equipment maintenance
- Maintaining accurate service records and equipment management data
- Providing technical advice and support to clinical and hospital staff
- Supporting quality improvement initiatives and compliance activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining electronic equipment
- Strong knowledge of analogue, digital and computer-based technologies
- Experience with networking and computer systems
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Highly regarded:
- Previous experience repairing and servicing biomedical equipment in a hospital environment
- Diploma (or higher qualification) in Electronics, Electrotechnology or a related discipline
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
