Stock Checker

Location: Holmewood
Pay Rate: £12.71–£13.33 per hour, depending on experience (subject to confirmation)
Shift Pattern: Rotating AM and PM shifts

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Stock Checker to join our warehouse team in Holmewood.

The ideal candidate will have previous stock-checking experience, a strong understanding of stock control procedures, and the ability to maintain accurate inventory records in a busy warehouse environment.

Working Hours

The shifts rotate between:

  • AM shift: 06:00–14:00

  • PM shift: 14:00–22:00

Candidates must be flexible and willing to rotate between AM and PM shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular stock checks and inventory counts.

  • Maintain accurate stock records and ensure stock accuracy.

  • Investigate discrepancies and report stock differences.

  • Use warehouse systems to record and update stock movements.

  • Support daily warehouse and stock control operations.

  • Operate warehouse equipment safely when required.

  • Follow all health and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous stock-checking experience is essential.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Experience using warehouse stock control systems.

  • A reliable, proactive, and flexible attitude.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness and ability to work in a cold-store environment at temperatures as low as -20°C.

  • A valid Reach Truck Licence is desirable but not essential.

Cold-Store Environment and PPE

Candidates must be comfortable working in a cold-store environment where temperatures can reach -20°C.

All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), including a thermal jacket, trousers, and safety footwear, will be provided.
